i can never recognize the good things from the bad
in all these things i've had
and you will be so great in 20 years or so
you will run your own business, yeah i'm sure
successful and so proud in twenty years, oh
but not now
patience is a virtue or so you thought back then
where have you been since
with your hand extended in front
the styrofoam cup empty but you've got
the patience you've been so proud of
it's easier to hold on to the things you thought you had
the intangibles are grateful
but the physicalities, they just pass
